Getting Started with Eating Disorder Treatment

In treatment, adults receive medical and nutritional support from experienced professionals — addressing complications associated with a number of different eating disorders and mood and anxiety disorders. In addition, therapeutic interventions, like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) are used to help adult patients learn how to create a rich and meaningful life in recovery. Using ACT, patients are supported in treatment to identify what they value in life. They learn and practice the tools to help them take committed action and achieve the lives they want to live. As adult patients move along the path of recovery, they can step-down among the levels of care within our comprehensive service offerings. Stepping down to levels of care with more autonomy helps patients protect their recovery as they reconnect with their lives outside of the treatment center by testing their skills while still in an environment of structure and support.

Levels of care to meet your child’s needs

Through our assessment process, a licensed, Master’s-level Clinician will determine the appropriate level of care for your child. As your primary point of contact throughout intake process, your assessment clinician can address any of your questions or concerns along the way. Inpatient care provides round-the-clock supervision for patients dealing with medical instability, ensuring their safety and well-being. Residential care is designed for patients who require 24-hour support but do not need intensive medical intervention. It offers a supportive environment to aid in the recovery process. Partial Hospitalization (PHP) offers a structured treatment approach similar to Residential care but allows patients to practice their skills during evenings, promoting gradual reintegration into daily life. On-site Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a flexible option that enables patients to attend school during the day and return home at night. This program helps individuals practice recovery skills in real-world situations.

LGBTQ+ Individuals in Eating Disorder Recovery

O We believe that every patient is unique, with individual needs and experiences. Therefore, we ensure that all of our clinicians and staff are both compassionately and professionally trained to honor and support our patients wherever they are on their journey with physical and emotional attraction, gender identity, gender expression, and mental health recovery.

You are unique. Your treatment should be, too

Sexuality and identity do not come with a one-size- fits-all approach; there are many variations in physical and emotional attractions, gender expression, and gender identity. We recognize the complexities of each coming out journey-before, during, and beyond-and we meet individuals and families with compassion wherever they are in their process. The goal is not for them to come out, rather we hope to support self-understanding and self-acceptance and to give our patients the resources to choose self-expression in whatever context and place they choose. By individualizing a patient's needs and tailoring our support to that specific person, we address their needs in the moment. We aim to help our patients increase their resilience- to have the tools needed in the moment to weather whatever storms come - to manage whatever feelings, thoughts, and questions may be keeping them from living their values-based life.
